The Shepherds Hut

Our luxury shepherds hut arrived on the farm in February 2019 and is sited in our ancient apple orchard. We have planted the area with meadow grass and wild flower seeds to complement the natural surroundings and provide a wildlife habitat.

The shepherds hut is fully insulated and heated so is a perfect romantic retreat all year round. Painted in farrow and Ball and fitted out to the highest spec. Inside you will find a kitchen area with fridge, Belfast sink, solid wood worktops, hob and combination microwave. There is a fold down table and seating.

The double bed is built in for that extra cosy feel, with an overhead light, charging points and even little fold down shelves for your coffee cup in the morning. You are supplied with luxurious bedding for your stay. Storage wise there is a good sized wardrobe and under bed storage for bags etc.

The ensuite shower room has a fully plumbed toilet, stone sink and electric shower. This is Glamping with a capital “G”! We provide luxury toiletries and towels for your stay.

Outside is the real joy with a raised deck where you can enjoy an evening drink on while watching the spectacular sunset. The view here is the best on the farm stretching for miles over open countryside, spectacular in every season. In the field in front you will often find the Chadwell flock of Herdwick sheep, a characterful bunch! The area surrounding the hut is for your private use, screened with hazel panels and includes a large fire pit and bbq.

We run a larder service so you can stock up on the essentials, homecooked ready meals and bbq packs of our home produced meat, including incredibly good Dexter beef cuts. Our friend from No2 Pound street supply beers and wine. Sit back, relax, enjoy!

Jump on the train from London or Birmingham and discover a place a million miles from the rat race that is so easily within reach. We have a couple of bicycles for guest use.

If you want to bring the kids or a couple of friends we can pitch a luxury bell tent next to the hut, with proper beds and bedding. Dogs also welcome.
